The first time I ever heard Michael Crawford was when he performed as The Phantom of the Opera. I fell in love with his voice. So enchanting, haunting and yet so powerful! Here is my little story, the first movie I ever saw Michael in was 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland', I loved him as the White Rabbit! 'Hello, Dolly!' was the next movie, and at the time I had no idea of what Michael Crawford looked like, wearing the Phantom mask and a Rabbit costume, I wanted to see him. I knew that Michael was Cornelius Hackl in 'Hello, Dolly!' right from the moment when we see him pop from the basement and say: "You stamped, Mr. Vandergelder?" He sounded like the White Rabbit! From then on, I became a fan of him. I love all of his characters, Frank Spencer is adorable and hilarious!! Such true talent, from the clutzy Frank Spencer, to become The Phantom of the Opera! His music is so beautiful, and my dream is to one day see him live and actually meet him. I'd want to give him a big hug!
